Course Description

With the May 2017 person-borne IED (PBIED) attack at the Manchester Arena in the U.K., many SWAT teams in the United States are looking for a starting point in Public Venue training and deployment. The proactive deployment into these venues ushers in a new skill set and need for SWAT teams across the country. As the domestic and international terroristic threats continue to occur abroad and at home, SWAT teams are needed now more than ever. This presentation will provide an overview of current TTPs that are being trained and in placed at multiple venues in the U.S. Best practices will be discussed leaving each attendee with a baseline understanding to start from for their respective team(s).
