Course Description
PSRPV is a purpose designed curriculum for police snipers that provide overwatch at public venues and/or large scale events. This will be a 4-day 40 hour curriculum conducted at two separate venues. PSRPV is an advanced course and is not for newly trained snipers. PSPRV has evolved into the standard for deploying snipers and SWAT teams that are tasked with the responsibility for public safety at these events. Anti-terrorist in nature the course is conducted in a crawl, walk, run progression focusing on improvised shooting & tripod shooting. In addition to the police sniper role Best Practices for SWAT and other nexus work groups will be taught with the emphasis on gameday safety & security. Snipers will be required to successfully pass Day 1 in order to conduct live fire training at Noble Arena & Memorial Stadium. Upon successful completion, snipers will be Certified in Public Venue Operations increasing their knowledge & operational readiness for their respective law enforcement agencies.

Course Pre-Requisite:
- BASIC: Restricted to certified snipers assigned to NTOA Designated Tier 1 or 2 SWAT teams.
- TRAINING: Basic Sniper Certification (40 hours or more); Intermediate/Advanced sniper certification
from reputable training providers highly recommended.

***SEMI-AUTO RIFLES MUST BE APPROVED BY LEAD INSTRUCTOR***
- Precision rifle with suppressor capable 1 MOA
or better/Adjustable sling - Variable power riflescope (No LPVO’s)
- 300 match grade factory rounds (No reloads)
- Sniper Overwatch Kit
- Shooting Tripod/Rifle rest
- NO bonded, AP, Monolithic, Steel Core allowed
- ELD, TAC TIP, AMAX, BTHP projectiles acceptable
- Calibers accepted: 308 WIN, 6.5 Creedmoor
- Rem 700 rifles with AD history NOT allowed
- Suppressors highly recommended
- No competition muzzle brakes allowed
- No personal rifles, duty issued only
Any precision rifle that has a history of Accidental Discharges will not be allowed in the course. Verification will be asked prior to the course commencing
